Woven Landscapes | Opens July 18
What began as a community-driven installation in Cleveland’s Waterloo arts district this winter will evolve and expand into a new seasonal display at the Holden Arboretum this summer.
Created through a series of free, public workshops led by Praxis Fiber Workshop, participants will design and print fabric using a fun, accessible screen-printing process. These individual contributions will be transformed into over 400 textile sculptures that will be displayed throughout the Arboretum grounds, forming a dynamic, ever-changing landscape.
This project invites the public into both the making and the experience, bridging individual and collective expression, and art and environment. Rooted in community participation, the project reflects Praxis’s commitment to access, material exploration, and the power of collective making.
Community Fabric Painting
All are invited to join the free community fabric painting session on Sunday, June 7 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Praxis Fiber Workshop located at 15301 Waterloo Road, Cleveland, OH 44110. Street parking is available. No prior artistic experience is necessary, but dress for a messy and enjoyable experience. More information about Woven Landscapes.

Apollo’s Fire Concert Series | June 20 – 21
GRAMMY®-winning ensemble Apollo’s Fire are known for their folk programs exploring history and legends. The expert troupe plays period instruments, but with the freedom of folk players. In their new program, Echoes of Ireland, nine musicians follow the trail of Turlough O’Carolan – the beloved, blind harper who traveled the roads of 18th-century Ireland, playing at weddings and funerals. From heartbreaking laments and ballads to joyous dances, the artists on fiddles, cello, Celtic harp, lute, and vocals bring to life the legends of Scotland and Ireland. A delight for the young and old!
