It’s Poppin’ out there! The warm weather we have been having the past couple of weeks (minus the two nights where we hovered around freezing) have caused the gardens to progress rapidly. At the arboretum, our early-season azaleas are already in bloom, as well as lilacs.

And at the botanical garden, flowering dogwoods and sweetshrubs are just a few of the spring blooms you will encounter. Stay tuned next week for what I expect to be peak azalea bloom in the Japanese garden!
