A One-Day Career Exploration Experience for High School Students

Curious about careers that protect forests, restore ecosystems, and study the living world? Join us for a hands-on Conservation Career Camp designed for high school students eager to explore real-world conservation work on Wednesday, March 25th, from 8:00am until 6:00pm.

During this immersive day-long adventure, students will step into the role of conservation scientists and land stewards. Through fieldwork, lab activities, and outdoor exploration, teens will discover how conservation professionals study, protect, and sustain ecosystems.

Participants will:

Explore plant identification while moving through forested landscapes
Extract DNA to learn how genetics supports conservation research
Examine plant physiology, including how plants regulate water through their pores
Tree climb to gain a new perspective on forest structure and canopy life

This camp is ideal for students interested in environmental science, biology, ecology, forestry, or outdoor careers—and for anyone who loves getting their hands dirty while learning how science and conservation intersect.

When: Wednesday, March 25, 8am-6pm
