Though this garden has impermanent offerings, there’s a unifying theme to each display. And one thing’s for certain: you’ll always leave feeling inspired.
Things to Discover
Bluestar Amsonia (Amsonia hubrichtii) | No single leaf of this prairie plant is remarkable, but when taken en toto, they make magic. See that tinge of gold among those spindly leaves? As the days march down into autumn, they’ll will progressively mellow and golden setting the entire plant aglow.
Turtlehead Chelone obliqua ‘Tiny Tortuga’ | Turtleheads are native Ohioans that favor damp, shady nooks. ‘Tiny Tortuga’ is not a selection (found in the wild) instead a cultivar (made in the garden) and so is not truly wild. Resultantly, it is a little shorter and a little pinker than its woodland kin.
Leopard Plant Leaves (Ligularia ‘The Rocket’) | This leopard plant gave a beautiful flower show last month, but today you are freed to appreciate its fascinating leaves. Walk the Gardens and Biomes today and find your favorite leaves!
