Nature offers the opportunity to explore human emotion at Cleveland Botanical Garden.
Join artists from Deep Roots Gallery and Holden Forests & Gardens staff for a weekly tour of the galleries in the Nature of Healing exhibit. Each week will feature a different artist from the show, diving deeper into their work and connection to the natural world.
Cleveland, historically plagued by some of the highest homicide rates in the nation and recently identified as the most stressed city in the country, presents a fertile ground for artistic inquiry. We pose this question to creatives: “What is the relationship between flowers, botany, nature, and the grief of loss?” This show’s exploration seeks to unravel the complex interplay between natural elements and the emotional landscapes shaped by trauma and mourning. Our goal with the Nature of Healing exhibit is to dig even further to explore what it means to utilize art and natural spaces as tools to support mental health and healthy communities.
Program is free, but space is limited. Registration is required.
