Feast your cameras on our fantastic fall florals at the Holden Arboretum!

Join photographer Debbie DiCarlo to learn creative camera tricks using the beauty of our gardens as the backdrop. After a lecture on techniques and settings, we will head into the gardens to create compelling abstract and artful photographs by focusing on the colors, shapes, and textures of the fall garden.

Participants will learn the how to transform everyday flora and nature scenes into artistic masterpieces by using various exposure techniques. Participants must have a camera capable of multiple exposures and should be able to change settings such as ISO, aperture and shutter speed. A macro or zoom lens (for example 24 – 105mm or 70-200mm) are ideal lenses, but are not required. A neutral density filter (3 – 10 stops) for the lens will also be handy to help lengthen exposure time for maximum creativity.
