Preserved botanicals add the joy of nature to your art.
For generations, gardeners and artists around the world have pressed flowers to capture their beauty, color, and structure. In this program, attendees will learn several methods for preserving flowers and plants, including a modern method using a microwave oven. All participants will create three pressed flower notecards and one bookmark to take home.

Western Reserve Herb Society
The Western Reserve Herb Society had its beginnings in February of 1942, with a special Exhibit of Herbs by Mrs. Armin Boethelt and Mrs. Donald Gray at the Cleveland Garden Exposition at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium. The Western Reserve Herb Society continues, as it began, as an association of gardeners who share joy in the use and delight of herbs. They maintain the Western Reserve Herb Garden at Cleveland Botanical Garden, publish a monthly newsletter, and host an annual herb fair in October featuring handmade herbal products.
