Spend a Saturday morning letting your creativity flow.

Junk journals are individualized collage and art books created with recycled or repurposed materials and ephemera. This trendy, sustainable craft form allows for endless creativity and fun. In this class, you will learn how to begin your own junk journal journey. Members of the Western Reserve Herb Society will be on hand to provide inspiration, resources, and ideas for where to find your materials.

Participants will learn at least five journaling techniques and all will receive a journal and extra materials to continue creating at home.

The Western Reserve Herb Society had its beginnings in February of 1942, with a special Exhibit of Herbs by Mrs. Armin Boethelt and Mrs. Donald Gray at the Cleveland Garden Exposition at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium. The Western Reserve Herb Society continues, as it began, as an association of gardeners who share joy in the use and delight of herbs. They maintain the Western Reserve Herb Garden at Cleveland Botanical Garden, publish a monthly newsletter, and host an annual herb fair in October featuring handmade herbal products.
