Students will investigate the biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) components of a river and discover how plants, animals, water, and habitat interact to create a healthy ecosystem. Through hands-on field experiences, students will identify aquatic macroinvertebrates, collect scientific data, and use their findings to assess the overall health of the river. This engaging program helps students develop observation, data collection, and critical thinking skills while deepening their understanding of freshwater ecosystems.
