In January 2020, Holden Forests & Gardens (HF&G), comprised of Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, OH, announced a new strategic plan for the organization. Highlighted within HF&G’s strategic goals was a renewed commitment to catalyze action and model solutions for environmental stewardship and climate change. Guided by this goal, a group of staff members formed HF&G’s Sustainability Committee. The Sustainability Committee’s mission is to seek out opportunities to facilitate improvements and provide leadership in the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of all programs and operations at Holden Forests & Gardens.
