Large cranberry

Vaccinium macrocarpon

Large cranberry is a creeping shrub with small alternate oval leaves.  The delicate pink to white flower petals recurve to form a Turk’s cap and bloom in mid to late spring.  Cranberries prefer full sun and moist soil.  Fruit is a great source of food for local wildlife and Thanksgiving dinner as well!
