Astilbe ‘Deutschland’ (astilbe)
Astilbe ‘Deutschland’
Plants are characterized by graceful, fern-like mounds of mostly basal leaves. Plumes of snow white, feathery flowers create a very showy landscape accent in moist areas in a shaded to dappled shade setting. ‘Deutschland’, a hybrid cultivar of Japanese astilbe, features a foliage mound (to 18” tall) of lustrous green leaves and upright panicles of flowers appearing May – June on stems rising to 2’ tall. Excellent choice for a border plant or moon garden as white flowers appear to float in the air at dusk.
