Holden Researchers Present at Society for Ecological Restoration Midwest-Great Lakes Chapter Meeting

This past weekend, Alexa Wagner, Emma Dawson-Glass, and Sam Harbol each presented at the annual chapter meeting for the Society for Ecological Restoration Midwest-Great Lakes Chapter. The presentations detailed current research on forest restoration in the Stuble Lab. Alexa gave a talk on her Ph.D. research, which was titled “Forest management drives recruitment dynamics in the understory.” Emma presented research on the benefits of microbial inoculation during tree plantings and Sam’s poster detailed research from Working Woods on the effects of tree girdling for forest structure. The meeting was held at the Manakiki Golf Course in Willoughby.
