Please be sure to read the following items carefully. The entire rental agreement can be found here..
1. Birthday Party programs at Holden Arboretum include a 3-hour room rental. This allows for 1/2-hour set up, 2-hour party, and 1/2-hour teardown. Party hosts and guests will not be permitted to use the space before or following the allotted rental time but are welcome to enjoy Holden Arboretum grounds during business hours (9 am-5 pm) the day of the party. A $100/hour fee will be accrued for extra time in the party room.
2. Party host must provide Holden Arboretum staff with an estimated guest list 7 days before the event. Pricing includes a party for up to 15 people. Guests over 15 people will cost $8/person, excluding children under 2. There is a maximum of 25 guests per party, which includes adults and children under 2.
3. Party hosts must provide their own food and drink, utensils, and tablecloths.
4. The Holden Arboretum is a public facility. Birthday parties will not have exclusive use of the Holden Arboretum outside of the reserved party space. THA personnel will make reasonable efforts to restrict Holden Arboretum visitor access to reserved party space.
5. Decorations must be set up and torn down by party hosts. Adhesives are not permitted to attach or hang decorations in the party room. Please consider sustainable/reusable options. Confetti, balloons, pinatas, sparklers, and glitter are not permitted.
6. Holden Arboretum will provide a guided hike. Outside entertainment/vendors need to be approved by Holden Arboretum staff prior to event.
7. The non-refundable base rental fee for 15 guests is due at booking. The final guest list must be received by THA seven (7) days before the birthday party date. Final payment can be made on the day of the party for guest counts above 15.
8. Birthday parties will take place rain or shine, with only a few exceptions for extreme weather conditions. Please bring appropriate weather gear (raincoats, winter gear, water bottles, sunscreen, etc.).
The full rental agreement, including the above statements, will become contractually effective by accepting these terms and conditions.
