Acer rubrum ‘Bowhall’ (red maple)
Acer rubrum ‘Bowhall’

According to Klyn Nursery, “A columnar red maple! Narrower when young, this tree becomes a broad column at maturity with a spread ranging from 18–25’. Green foliage turns yellow-orange to reddish-orange in fall. ‘Bowhall’ can be used as a shade tree but really makes an excellent street tree due to its narrow habit. Like all Acer rubrum it is worth noting that the flowers emerge in early spring before the leaves, serving as an excellent food resource for early pollinators. Plant in full sun to part shade in moist, well-drained soil for the best performance. It will however tolerate and adapt to many different soil conditions and has moderate drought tolerance.”
