HF&G Volunteer Communities
One size does not fit all.
When it comes to volunteering, different people have different ideas about how, where and when they give their time. Our Volunteer Communities are designed to give you the impact you want, the flexibility you need, and the resources, training, and volunteer benefits that best fit the way you want to contribute.
Cultivate Community
Cultivate Community is a great option for those who want to “try out” volunteering with us or are looking for a meaningful but short-term way to help. We have one-time activities throughout the year where Cultivate volunteers support our work, earn benefits and have fun! All new volunteers begin in Cultivate Community. Partner Community
Volunteers who want to provide ongoing support for Holden Forests & Gardens for a minimum of six months can do so in Partner Community. Partner volunteers are the core of our volunteer workforce, contributing in weekly, monthly and seasonal positions in nearly every department. They also enjoy expanded opportunities to learn, grow and benefit from their volunteer experience. Lead Community
Volunteers in Lead Community bring advanced knowledge, practical experience, exceptional skills, a collaborative spirit, and a demonstrated commitment to Holden Forests & Gardens. They can serve as team leaders, assist in volunteer training and instruction, manage projects, and share their professional skills.
