Ohio has a rich heritage of native wild orchids.
With a season that commences in May and runs through October, Ohio’s orchid blooms vary from the large and colorful to the tiny and inconspicuous. This presentation will cover our native orchid habitats, their natural history, and conservation efforts.

Andy Lance
Conservation Manager
Born and raised in Northern Ohio, Andy has a B.S. from Bethany College, a M.S. from the Bard Center for Environmental Policy, and a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Andy has extensive experience working in the forests of the Great Lakes region and enjoys connecting current ecological research and applied land management.
