Are you interested in advancing your gardening skills and improving the aesthetics of your yard?
Don’t miss this opportunity to join Horticulturalists Caroline Watson and MaryAnn Thesing for an advanced pruning workshop, focused on Japanese-style pruning. The workshop will begin indoors with a review of basic pruning practices and tips for cultivating an aesthetic in trees and shrubs. Then, participants will head outside for hands-on practice in the Japanese Garden with the expert guidance of our staff.
This class is not suitable for beginners. Registrants must have already practiced basic pruning skills for at least one year. There will be an option to work on larger trees with a ladder, but smaller trees accessible from the ground will also be available.
Terrain: mostly paved, some grass, uneven and sloped surfaces
Age: Adult (intermediate/advanced)
Time: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
