Calling all azalea admirers! This is the weekend to visit the Holden Arboretum or the Cleveland Botanical Garden. Our azaleas are in their prime and boasting an excellent display this year that is definitely worth the trip. You won’t want to miss it!
Holden Arboretum
Azaleas of every color imaginable can be discovered on a stroll around Logsdon Pond and through the Layer Rhododendron Garden. Make sure to set aside a solid hour or two to fully take in the magical experience of being surrounded by a rainbow of azaleas.

Cleveland Botanical Garden
The Japanese Garden is in its prime right now. Pink and white azaleas set against the bright green spring growth of the carefully shaped Taxus hedges makes for one of the most photo-worthy spots in Cleveland. Besides the Japanese Garden, there is plenty to see throughout the gardens—look for several Clematis varieties displaying a range of interesting and colorful flowers.

Taking a stroll through the gardens while the azaleas are in their prime is the perfect way to spend Mother’s Day this weekend. If you haven’t made plans already, consider making the trip—she won’t be disappointed!
