16 Thriving Summer Plants at the Cleveland Botanical Garden

August 4, 2023

Leaves

Today, I strolled through just a fraction of our outdoor gardens, and came across more blooms, stunning greenery, and pollinators than I could keep track of. For your sake, I narrowed this down to my 16 favorite plants from the Rose Garden and Western Herb Society Garden. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for seasonal updates on our favorite gardens at both the Cleveland Botanical Garden and Holden Arboretum. Happy exploring!

Planning a trip to the botanical garden soon? Check out the map below, which was specifically created for the Western Reserve Herb Society Garden. This map has each area clearly labeled to help you understand what you are seeing as you explore. With so many plants in one area, it’s helpful to put everything into context.

The sights, sounds, and scents of summer are still immaculate. Each of our outdoor gardens has something beautiful to offer this time of year. Our horticulture staff and herb society volunteers have been working hard to maintain and improve each area for your enjoyment. Say hi to them if you see them out working!
