Holden Researchers Present at ESA

Holden researchers have spent this week attending one of the world’s largest gatherings of ecologists: the annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America. This year, four Holden researchers are presenting their work into urban trees, forest management, and more.

Sharon Danielson (graduate student) – Community trait differentiation and seedling diversity in urban remnant forests and rural forests.

Randall Long (postdoctoral researcher) – Interpopulation differences in water use traits and drought responses in a widespread conifer (Juniperus virginiana).

Caleb Lumsden (intern) – An investigation of plant and soil microbial community homogenization in urban parklands.

Katie Stuble (scientist) – Solving the two-body problem outside of the academy.

Alexa Wagner (graduate student) – Understory dynamics in response to forest management.
