Climate change has already increased temperatures and produced more extreme weather events in Northeast Ohio. Over the next several decades these trends will likely become more pronounced, altering forests as we know them. With this changing climate, some tree species are expected to thrive while others are less likely to survive. Inside, you will find a list based on current USFS research of several tree species are anticipated to withstand these changes, and which ones may decline.
