GardenWalk Cleveland’s mission is to nurture community, break down barriers, beautify neighborhoods, and promote civic pride in the City of Cleveland through the powers and rewards of gardening. This year’s tour will feature over 300 gardens in more neighborhoods than last year’s tour! Similar to previous tours, some neighborhoods will be open on Saturday while some will be open on Sunday. Gardens on the tour will be open 10 AM – 5 PM…RAIN OR SHINE. The walk is a free, self-guided tour of private and community urban gardens.
On the days open for touring, visitors will find a headquarters where they may pick up printed maps and listings of that neighborhood’s gardens. Many of the gardeners strive to focus on native plants in the gardens that will promote regional diversity, attract wildlife and pollinators, thrive under natural conditions, and connect people to nature in their own backyards.
