This program will explore the role of photography in protecting the biodiversity of our planet, what it’s like to be a biologist in the photography industry, and share exciting stories from the field.

Marisa Ishimatsu
Biologist, Photographer
Marisa Ishimatsu is a field biologist and wildlife photographer with a special affinity for reptiles and amphibians. She has herped and photographed all over the world, including Japan, Namibia, and the Amazon Rainforest. Her work has been featured in books and by companies like The Dodo and PetaPixel. Her photographs focus on wildlife in their natural habitat, showing how animals interact with their surroundings.
