Come see what good forest management practices look like in “real time”!
Join us at Working Woods for our annual open-house opportunity, where the demonstration forest will be open to the public for guided tours, updates on ongoing research, and other educational materials and resources. Landowners, natural resource professionals, land managers, and anyone interested in forest health and stewardship in Northeast Ohio will enjoy learning from the experts on hand.
Topics and demonstrations include:
- Regenerating single-tree selection timber harvest (cut in 2019)
- Edge feathering and habitat improvements
- Non-timber forest products
- Forest pests and pathogens
- Invasive species management
- Timber stand improvement thinning
- Native plants & more!
Morning Open House Hours: 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
Afternoon Open House Hours: 1 – 3:30 p.m.
When registering, you can select either the 9:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. start time.
This open house is FREE, but parking is limited, so registration for a time slot is required.
