When it comes to identifying plants, taxonomy is key!
If you regularly use field guides or apps like iNaturalist or Google Lens to identify plants and want to take your botany skills to the next level, then this is the class for you. During the first session, we will have a crash course in plant anatomy and botany vocabulary. In the second session, we will explore the Woodland Garden to test our new field skills on native spring wildflowers. The skills you take away will help you whether you’re identifying plants in your backyard or traveling somewhere further afield.
Cost includes both sessions.
Terrain: up to 1.0 mile, mostly paved, some stones and uneven surfaces
